My Marketing Plan

Here's a couple of things/ways I plan to start marketing:

• Create flyers and either post them online or post them around town.
• Leave business cards around once I receive them.
• Make my own landing page and website.
• Continue to blog to spread awareness.

I've been so busy trying to work on other things and still working my current job. However, time management hasn't always been my strongest skill. It's time to improve on it I guess!

Once I start implementing my marketing strategies, I'll blog about the results to see which work best.

What Your MLM Recruiter Won't Tell You

I want people to realize this before embarking on an MLM venture. And this is more for beginners, like myself, not those that are highly experienced in MLM. And for those that are experience, listen to what I have to say if you are trying to recruit members. Fix these problems.

1.) You will not always have your business coach to help you, even though they say you will. You also will not always have an upline member to assist you either. However, I'm not saying this is ALWAYS the case. But so far in my experience, I'm left in the dark most of the time.

2.) You MUST like the products yourself. If you don't like them, how are you supposed to convince people to? Luckily, I drink my product mostly every day.

3.) This is not a get rich quick type deal. This business DOES take work. Except, there are exceptions where there are people that have tons of family and friends that join so then their business takes off instantly. For the average person, you need to keep at it and keep trying. It is not that easy to sign people up because they fear that they cannot sign people up themselves.

4.) This business does require money, but not a substantial amount. If you are jumping into this business just solely through Vemma, all you are required to do is buy the Vemma products on a monthly basis. So that can be a month's worth of Verve or whatever it is that you want. You do not have to sign up for Auto Pilot Marketing or any other site that helps "manage" your business. Those middleman sites just help connect you to people that are interested in home businesses. But keep in mind, those sites have monthly fees as well and you must pay for leads. You need to figure out how much you want to spend on your business on a monthly basis for marketing and growing your business. It is usually suggested to plan to spend $250 on marketing your business. This price does not include your products.

5.) Everyone is MLM does not always succeed. (Obviously) People that plan to use MLMs as a business to make money right away tend to have false expectations. You really need to think of Vemma or whatever MLM you are in as a BUSINESS. Think about it, do all pizza joints that open up succeed? Or how about all clothing stores? The answer is no. An MLM is the same thing, except the start up and overhead is a lot cheaper than traditional businesses. You need to spend time and money on marketing. There is only so much that the internet can do to make your business "automated".

6.) You need to be willing to make some changes if necessary. If you are scared to talk to strangers (not the creepy strangers), you need to get over that fear. You need to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and talk to people. Even if it's a telemarketer. If they're trying to sell you something on the phone, throw in your own sales pitch! What's the worst that will happen? They hang up on you? Well that doesn't sound too bad, especially since you planned to hang up on them, anyway!

That's all the words of wisdom that I have for now. Leave a comment if you think I missed anything and remember to keep checking in for future updates!

Interested, But Not Right Now.

I have still not gotten any sign ups, which is expected. I stopped going full force in order to relax. I was stressing out so much, that I decided to just breathe. As of now, I am waiting for my business cards to arrive and I plan on working on some posters/images so I can post those around or pass them out.

I had some guests from California spend the weekend at my house. One of them is interested in the business and wants to join, but wants to wait until he moves to AZ in January. His dad however really liked the vitamins (which he should! it's a good product), so I gave him my vemma website and showed him how to order some.

I've been talking to a lead that I've purchased (he's the only one so far that picks up my calls) and I'm happy he's picking up my calls, the only problem I have is that I can't understand the guy! It's a mixture of bad reception (everytime I call him, I hear a delayed feedback of my own voice), a lack of vocal volume on his part, and a lack of annunciation from him. It's rather difficult to judge where that lead will take me. He gives me one word answers (half of which I cannot understand), but when I ask him overall is he interested he said yes. I'll be checking in on him in a couple of days, so keep checking in if you want to see if I get any further with that guy!

I have so many plans, but need to find time. I plan to make some fun youtube videos to catch people's  attention, plus I really do miss video editing. So at least I'll get my creative outlet that way! I'm reading an awesome book right now, it had me by it's cover title! "How to Become Filthy, Stinking Rich Through Network Marketing: Without Alienating Friends and Family" by Mark Yarnell, Valerie Bates,  Derek Hall, and Shelby Hall. I'll let you know how it is once I finish reading it.

I've got lots to learn, but lots to give. I will not let this business fail and I will not let my team down! I hope everyone has a great week! Keep checking in for new posts! Lots of things will be happening! I'll make sure of it.

EDIT: I still need to design my blog, right now I have so much on my plate. I want to test out these new banners, if you want to know more about the business that I am working on, go ahead and click it!
